About Julia

Throughout my career, I’ve had a great interest in supporting AYAs with cancer.

Young adulthood is a time of life already filled with challenges, whether these be pursuing further education or a career, dating or starting a family, or finding independence away from your caregivers.

I provide a safe space for my clients to share their fears, frustrations, and difficulties as they face new challenges.

Advocating for Adolescents and Young Adults

A cancer diagnosis or other life transition oftentimes compounds the challenges of young adulthood, and historically, AYAs are underserved when it comes to receiving the support they need. I work with physicians and health care providers to set up programs dedicated to the mental wellbeing of AYAs.

I work with a variety of practitioners:

  • Oncology units looking to build a program to support AYAs
  • Hospitals looking for direction on growing their support programs for AYA patients
  • Teams in need of compassion fatigue support
